Can 320 watts PSU handle GeForce GTX 670?
I have got a rig from my office for home use, since my children want to try out gaming I was thinking off adding a good gpu to it. So after all my research I have chose GeForce GTX 670 to be a better card. Anyways problem is that it has 320 watts PSU and some of my friend has said that it won’t handle the card where as some said that it can. I just need a confirmation whether it will handle it or not. Has anyone used GeForce GTX 670 with 320 watts PSU???
Re: Can 320 watts PSU handle GeForce GTX 670?
I think it won’t, according to system requirement of GeForce GTX 670 its Minimum System Power Requirement (W) is 500 W. I haven’t used GeForce GTX 670 but I really won’t suggest you to even think about using 320 watt PSU to handle it if you are thinking about gaming with your rig. You will surely face system crash most of the time, anyways when you have decided to get GeForce GTX 670 why don’t you get a better psu for it and let your children enjoy gaming.
Re: Can 320 watts PSU handle GeForce GTX 670?
I was going to suggest you same thing, anyways if you don’t mind spending in psu then I will suggest you to get “Rosewill CAPSTONE Series CAPSTONE-450 450W Continuous @ 50°C, 80 PLUS GOLD Certified, Single +12V Rail, ATX12V v2.31 / EPS12V v2.92, SLI Ready, CrossFire Ready, Active - PFC Power Supply “.I know that Minimum System Power Requirement (W) of GTX 670 is 500 W but I will like to inform you that it will consume 170 or 180 max, your other component like cpu, RAM, drives, keyboard, mouse, etc wont consume much than 250. In short overall they will consume 430.

I will suggest you to get “CORSAIR Builder Series CX500 V2 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply “. It will cost you around $60 and it will be quite worth. It will handle your card to its max without any issue. I have been using it with GeForce GTX 680 and I haven’t faced any issue because of it.
Re: Can 320 watts PSU handle GeForce GTX 670?
“Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply “ will work great as well. It is available on most of the online sites and you can get it for $55 from any site. It is one of the decent psu I ever had, I have been using it for 8 months and I don’t have any complaints. I am just highlighting some key features of it.
ATX12V and EPS12V Compatible
520W Continuous Power
80 Plus Certified
Dual PCI-E Connectors
Quiet Operation

I think a better choice will be getting AMD Radeon HD 7750, it is one of the fastest cards to run latest game and it won’t even needs a power connector.
