New 3D Maps of Google & Offline Access to Android and IOS Unveiled
Google recently unveiled the latest planned Maps in the coming weeks for its mapping service. The program includes three-dimensional maps and offline mode on Android devices.
As foreshadowed, the future of Google's mapping service will be in 3D: this means that instead of the default maps view on an Android smartphone or IOS, the Google Maps application will a viewed to 45°, to check out the buildings, also the landscape in three dimensions on the mobile phone. An aerial view greater than satellite, in fact. The demonstration by Google is very fluid, but one can imagine, however, that this feature will be particularly effective on the latest smartphones, and less on the earliest compatible with the application. What remains to be seen on this announcement is whether these maps can be also used in Google Navigation. It was also announced that the accuracy and resolution of these views in the street has been improved, as google has developed motorcycles and bicycles Street View. Next step is a backpack Street View to capture images of the most inaccessible places where it is only possible to walk.
