How do I uninstall letter opener?
I recently happened to download a program which would assist me with winmail.dat attachments called LetterOpener. I am not very comfortable using it now. Definitely cause it’s not giving me desired results and is not efficient enough. With Gmail, it’s use is negligible. However, coming back to the point it is simply not getting uninstalled. I tried uninstalling it but it is sort of buried deep within Mail3.5. can anyone help me remove this?
Re: How do I uninstall letter opener?
Many people face this issue in uninstalling LetterOpener. But, if I tell you the solution, you’ll slap your forehead and say ‘What’s the big deal in this?’ it is that simple
All you’ve got to do to get rid of this program is to go to library/mail/bundles and remove OMIC.mailbundle.
Re: How do I uninstall letter opener?
I actually gave that reaction when I read it. But when I tried performing what you said, I realized it’s not as easy as you put it. Let me tell you why. I’m sure this’ll come as a shock to you as it did to me. The library/mail folder doesn’t have any folder named ‘bundles’.
Re: How do I uninstall letter opener?
It indeed came as a shock! That is impossible dude.
Anyways, this might happen in only 2 cases:
1. You’ve already deleted the file (unknowingly maybe)
2. You must be searching in the library of your user account.
i.e. the path that you might be using would be: Hard Disk > Users > YourHomeFolder> Library > Mail
instead of
Hard Disk > Library > Mail
