Norton 360 Firewall Settings for Airprint
I am using the Apple Airprint. There is a problem with the Norton Firewall that is causing me to stop the communication with the Dell Win 7 machine. There is no problem with Airprint installation but I cannot access the printer using the iPhone 4s. Is it really the firewall problem?
Re: Norton 360 Firewall Settings for Airprint
Before telling the Firewall settings and about the issue, I would like to know what software you are using for Airprint software. As far as I can say that Airprint for Windows is not compatible with Ios devices or may be ios 5. You might need to check on that properly. Otherwise find compatible software for Airprint.
Re: Norton 360 Firewall Settings for Airprint
I later came to know about the small company Collobos Software which have developed a software called FingerPrint ($9.99). You can get the free trial version and downloaded it. After changing the few permissions, it started working properly with Windows and ios.

- Error "Unable to connect to Logic Server"
- Send error 10054 and Connect error 10061
Re: Norton 360 Firewall Settings for Airprint
It seems to me that your Norton firewall allowing Logic Server. In order to communicate, you should do the following
- Open Norton 360.
- Go to Main menu>Task & Settings> Advanced Settings> Firewall Protection Settings.
- Move to Firewall Program Rules tab.
- Choose Logic Server from list.
- Select Allow (not Auto or Custom) and then Apply.
Re: Norton 360 Firewall Settings for Airprint
Apple iOS included latest feature in new version and in that mainly AirPrint. Only the phone with latest software can able to access the AirPrint and use any printer that is connected to a Windows PC and Windows servers.
Re: Norton 360 Firewall Settings for Airprint
- Make sure that your printer enabled the network sharing connected to PC
- If there is no iTunes installed then you must get the Bonjour Print Service.
- Then in Norton firewall make sure that UDP port 5353 is open
- Now install AirPrint components. I recommend downloading the Elpamsoft AirPrint Installer. Airprint Installer Mirror.
- Install and make the settings properly. Now you will be able to print from anywhere.
