‘Failed to find steam’ error playing Flatout 3 Chaos & Destruction
I was trying to play Flatout 3 Chaos & Destruction on Steam. But while doing so I encountered with an error message, it can be stated as ‘Failed to find Steam’. I really wanted to play but I could not find out anyway to fix it. any useful solution to fix the matter will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

I was also facing the same problem, but I managed to resolve the issue by restarting Steam on my computer. after that error message vanished from my system.

I am not sure about it but you can try to fix the issue by verifying the game cache. To do that you have to perform following steps.
- You have to load Steam on your computer.
- After that you have to right click on the game and go for Properties.
- From the Properties menu you have to click on the Local files tab.
- Here you have to click on Verify the integrity of the game cache.
Wait till the process completed and see whether the issue is persisting or not.

After learning the problem I recommend following solution.
- You have to close Steam if it is already opened on your computer.
- You have to browse for Program Files/Steam folder.
- Here you have to look for ClientRegistry.blob file and delete the same once you have found
- After that restart Steam on your computer.

Looking at the matter you can give a try to below mentioned steps.
- You have to right click on Computer and click on Properties.
- After that you have to click on Advanced System Settings.
- You have to search for Environment Variables for Advanced tab and click on the same.
- After that you have to search for0020 User Variables for [your username] and scroll down to get Path.
- You have to highlight it and click on Edit.
- You will have couple of text box on the top which are variable name and Variable value under of it. you have to put focus on Variable value feils and hit end key so that you can find out that you are not inserting text in the middle of the entry.
- You have to add semicolon to separate the new entry from each other.
- Once done you have to paste path which is as follow if you are running Windows 7 x64 system.
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
- Now restart Steam and you will not have any issue.
