error 1316, while trying to uninstall BlackBerry Desktop Manager on windows 7.

I am having the problem related to the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. The problem is that when I am trying to get connect with my dell laptop which is running on the windows 7, it gives the error 1316 and not get connected. Here, I am having BlackBerry Curve 8900, and I wanted to connect with the BlackBerry Desktop Manager on my laptop due to some reasons. For resolving this problem I have also tried with uninstalling the software from the control panel, but when I opened the control panel at that time I see that my BlackBerry Desktop Manager is not listed in the list. Can anyone suggest e in this that what can I do to uninstall the BlackBerry Desktop Manager?

In your case I would like to say you that try with the steps to remove the software which are as:-

• At the start you will need to Click on Start > Control Panel> Programs and Features.
• And then click Uninstall a program.
• After this Select BlackBerry Desktop Software> Change/Remove.
• And then you can select the Remove option and click Next On the InstallShield Wizard window
• On the Uninstall Options window> Remove all user settings for BlackBerry Desktop Software check box.
• click OK.
• And at the end click Finish.

Here If still you are getting the same problem and you are not able to uninstall the desktop manage software then I will suggest you to take the help of the Windows Installer Cleanup utility. This will help you in your case. And here I would like to say that you can download this from the windows site. And also while trying to download this I will suggest you to make sure that you are downloading the genuine copy of the software. Try with that and hope that this will help in your case.

Sorry friend I try with that and I get that there is no Windows Installer Cleanup utility on their site, I think that they have pulled the Windows Installer Cleanup utility from their sites because it was causing lots of problems with other programs. So what to do now? Any other suggestion in this case? And also thanks for suggesting me.

I am having some steps for resolving your problem, try with them and hope that they will work in your case. The steps are as:

1. first Rename "610_b034_multilanguage.exe" to "610_b034_multilanguage.zip"
2. after this Extract the files into a seperate folder
3. then Copy & paste "BlackBerry Desktop Software.msi" into "C:\WINDOWS\Installer"
4. and at the end Run the "Setup.exe" from the extracted "610_b034_multilanguage.zip" manually

Hey thanks dude for the steps. Actually I am not getting anything form the above post. Here I would like to say you that please be clear that what you are suggesting tome. And please suggest me this steps clearly.

Regarding with the above steps, here I can say that they all for the windows 7 only. And am also facing this problem in the windows 7. But After trying so many times with the above steps here I came to know that this is not working in my case. So can anyone suggest me the other steps for the step related with this problem. And also here I would like to ask to the above user that how he get resolve his problem when he tried with the above steps and so please suggest me for the same thing again.

I searched for the solution on internet and got it on bb forums, simply posted here.

I am sorry for not giving link to proper solution, i will ask some mod/admin here to do the same.
