How do I delete multiple bluetooth Icons in Win XP pro control panel
Hi
I have on my IBM X60S 6 bluetooth icons and my PC (perhaps unsurprisingly) will not detect bluetooth devices.
I have Win XP pro installed.
How can I remove these excess icons from the control panel?
Note I am not that tech savvy so if the reply is complex please provide steps by step.
Thanks
Colin

There is an file which is called as bthprops.cpl. This file is located in the system32 folder. You can modify this file to remove excess icons from the Control panel. Before modifying this file you will need to have full rights. Or else you will face an errors. The bluetooth module in located in control panel to provide you settings. If you do not want you can uninstall the same.

You can also try to go into msconfig and disable any startup items that you do not wish to start when the computer boots first time. Simply click on Start and then go to Run and then type msconfig and press Enter. After that click on Startup tab and then you will be able to see which processes are starting up. This way you can choose to disable the other unnecessary stuffs on your pc.

Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel. After that click on System > Hardware > Device Manager > and then choose to delete entry for bluetooth controller. After that restart the computer and after your computer boots then let the Bluetooth Controller to get automatically installed again. This will definitely solve the issue but if it will not and still the Bluetooth works then just use it since there will be no hard done.
