HELP! Trying to format & install
Hi there,
I'm new to all this so hello from me.
I have a bit of a problem and would really appreciate some genuine help.
I bought a pc on-line and it works ok apart form the fact that the Windows XP on the system is counterfeit (or apears to be) , there are also little bits and bobs ie: existing games which will not un-install and various other programs which will not remove. :rofl_2:
I have a Windows Vista home package spare, is it just as simple as installing this and it wipes everything? or do i need to go down some other route of formatting etc.
I would ideally like to wipe everything and install my Vista but only if its relatively easy as i dont want to pay for this privilege.
Many Thanks in advance.
Cheers :thumbup1:
Re: HELP! Trying to format & install
You should first of all try to discuss with the people from whom you bought the pc and should ask for a compensation. Secondly, if you intend to wipe of all the data including the previous Windows xp operating system, then you simply do so, by placing the Vista OS disk into the CD/DVD drive and booting from it and making complete reformat and new OS installation.
