Re: Phenom II 955 x4 at 3.2GHz over clocking gives a boot problems
You can easily do the over clocking for the NB, but according to me the last step for IMO is to get the cpu overclocked first at stable stage and if you’re trying for the higher NB stable then you must increase the cpu and NB voltage if you’re having the option for it in the bios. If you are trying for the cpu voltage at the 3.7v then your stock voltage will be 955. I’m not sure if it is possible to do so but if it accurate then I’m sure your CPU won’t work again.
Phenom II 955 x4 at 3.2GHz over clocking gives a boot problems
I was doing the over clocking of my cpu for the first time and after selecting 2400mhz for NB and 3600mbz for the cpu and had over clock each individually I had save it and had notice that despite of getting error or cpu getting heat up and even adjusting the voltages for it is not getting boot. Is there any solution to get the CPU at high and would I need to touch with the nb as it is grouped with the cpu setting. Please help me out regarding this.
Re: Phenom II 955 x4 at 3.2GHz over clocking gives a boot problems
For that you just need to download the new cpuz to the version of 1.57 don’t go for 1.49 as it won’t read a chip. However there is one more CPU available on net which is c3 but it is not sufficient. As at 55c you are already at the terminal limit before the heat hidrering the system overclock and there is an risk of blowing up parts as overclock added an strain in your whole system and which in turn increase the requirement for the power. Try to reset your cmos it will surely work.
Re: Phenom II 955 x4 at 3.2GHz over clocking gives a boot problems
I think so 3.8 to 4.0 GHZ is very much good to over clock at the stock of 955 depend on the stepping. Well if you doing with the multiple then it’s not enough for that you need minimum 1.5v to get your system overclock . I want to ask what the temperature you are getting at the 1.475v? . If the system is idel then you need to decrease the temperature below 50c. To get more help you need to search for it on Google.
Re: Phenom II 955 x4 at 3.2GHz over clocking gives a boot problems
I had checked the voltage and it is at 1.4v for the CPU and for the nm it is 1.1v well I don’t know why it is reporting like that. Then I had kept the nb stock to 2000mhz I want to ask how much high it will go is it going to stop at x18.5 where the stock is 3700mhz. I don’t know much but I think the voltage is under the 1.5v or might be close to the 1.475V after that I had restarted my system and my motherboard speaker started beeping
Re: Phenom II 955 x4 at 3.2GHz over clocking gives a boot problems
Thank for the help. I had downloaded 1.57 and after doing that the voltage is reading correctly which is about 1.392v. Well I use to consider the cm212 first. I was much concern with the size of the horizontal as the freezer 7 hardly fits on it. I don’t know much about the psu but I’m sure after resetting the cmos my problem of boot up failure had really gone. My problem is with the NB clock which gets struck at the 2.4GHZ but after resetting its back to normal.
