Cheap BEGINNERS rig
I am planning to purchase inter core i7 so i am putting a rig for sole purpose of learning to overclock. EVGA mobo or AMD processor i heard that EVGA doesn't do AMD. I need a mobo CPU memory powersupply. If mobo is having a built in graphics then i don't need a graphic card. So please provide your valuable suggestion as soon as possible. Thank you.

Re: Cheep BEGINNERS rig
Iwould suggest you to look for AMD Phenom2 550 CPU. It is a dual core processor with unlocked multiplier,60 to 70 % chance of unlocking all four cores. I have Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UD3H mobo, unlocks that CPU to a quad and overclock more then well enough for beginners. Micro ATX version are cheaper but i am not sure whether they have the same unlocking capacity. But coupld with memory and a PSU(starting at 450 W). Alternatively you can go for Athalon II but i do not know whether they are multiplier locked or not. If not then to reach good overclock result you need fast memory.

Max lan speed 10/100/1000Mbps. what do you think about this board and this is a open box should i purchase it.

Re: Cheep BEGINNERS rig
Here is an even cheaper core 2 duo processor called AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+. Sells for around $60 or even less. It can be potentially unlocked to an Athlon II Quad core. It is actually 45nm Denebe. The only drawback is it's AM2 only and even it does not support DDR3. But this will be the perfect fit for your requirement. Due to its Unlocked and overlocked you may want to keep this as your main rig.

Re: Cheap BEGINNERS rig
I am having MSI P965 Platinum and it is a very nice board. The overclocking seem to be bit limited and the fastest you can push FSB is 370 mhz. The Asus P58 Delux is a very good overlocker I will go with this one. I do not believe that Intel board overclock well, so I will keep my self away from Intel 975XBX2KR.
