Vista trapped in Blue Boot Screen
Hello everybody,
I have searched the site before hand, and have found nothing like my problem.
First, allow me to give the background information as to what has happened.
I constantly put my computer to sleep, and rarely ever turn it off at night.
This morning, when I got up to go check my E-mail, it was in the Blue Boot Screen. I don't know how it got there, so something had to happen between the last time I used the computer around 11:00 PM the previous evening, and 6:30 AM the next morning.
I tried everything, all to no avail.
When I try to shut down, it doesn't appear to be doing so fully, as it starts back up extremely fast, and without going anywhere else, goes back to the Blue boot screen.
I tried to unplug the tower, and got the same result.
I unplugged, and reattached the keyboard to no avail.
Nothing I press on the keyboard does anything, no F10, F1, nothing.
I have searched the cords to see if something was amiss on them, but I can find nothing to suggest that a mouse, the cat, or dogs, tampered with the cords.
When I last ran Norton Anti-Virus, it stated everything was fine, Windows Defender backed this up. I have downloaded nothing in the past week, nor have I visited any questionable or fraudulent websites (It's been years since I have done that).
With all that information gathered, what is wrong, and how, if possible, can I solve the problem?
Thank you for your time, and have a great day!
Re: Vista trapped in Blue Boot Screen
Could you tell us what error message you are getting on the blue screen? What is your computer specs and most importantly due you have any video card or graphic card installed? It might be either a ram or graphic issue.
Try to gather some suggestions given in some similar topics here: http://forums.techarena.in/monitor-v...ds/1111032.htm

That is exactly what I am seeing on my screen. *Edit* Which I just found out is the Start Screen.
'Puter Specs are a 2008 Windows Vista Home Premium, 5 GB, and with an Intel Core2 Quad Processor.
I am not sure if I do have any video or graphics card installed.
