Re: Migrate data from Project Server 2007 to Project Server 2010
The data need to be migrated to Project Server 2010. There are three different options. If you need to additional full database upgrade:. This option is migration project data and project work zone data. We recommend that you need to upgrade these two types of data to use this option. For additional core database upgrade: This option is only available project data to migrate. We recommend that the project work area without the need to migrate data to use this option. Check and reply.

In-place upgrade to Project Server 2010. This option is to upgrade the existing server data, and Office Project Server 2007 settings. Only when the data migrated to Windows Server 2008 64-bit platforms for the deployment of Office Project Server 2007 when you can use this option. Can not be used when the use of VME in-place upgrade. Check and reply.

You can also use Virtual Migration Environment (VME) that is packaged as a complete Hyper-V images configured Office Project Server 2007 SP2 environment. VME should be run as an independent environment, specifically for the Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 data to migrate to Office Project Server 2007 data format. VME is a built-in, so that customers can migrate Project Server 2003 to Project Server 2010, without having to establish the middle of Office Project Server 2007 environment. All the best.
Re: Migrate data from Project Server 2007 to Project Server 2010
Backward-compatibility mode (BCM) is a Project Server 2010 in a feature that can help upgrade your enterprise project management environment. Project Server 2010 is not only accepted from Microsoft Project Professional 2010 client connections, in the Project Server 2010, when BCM is enabled, you can also receive from the Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007 connections. BCM will be after you upgrade to Project Server 2010 automatically enabled. By upgrading from Office Project Server 2007 to Project Server 2010 is ready for BCM, you do not have the same time to upgrade Office Project Professional 2007 client computer. Check and reply.
