Hi I am using windows XP in HCL laptop since from last four years. Its working fine with windows XP, but now I want change it with windows 7 which more faster and having more features then windows XP. But when I check for compatibility windows 7 with my laptop on HCL official website, the website shows that windows 7 is not compatible with my HCL laptop. Can any one tell me to install windows 7 in laptop?
Can you tell me what is the model no. of HCL laptop, from which I will suggest you to weather install windows 7 or not.

1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
If you want windows 7 OS then go for LG x110 notebook which is good option for you.

You can install windows 7 on your HCL laptop but you have to make changes in your hardware of your laptop like Memory or graphics device. Replace your old Memory (RAM) with minimum 1 Gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) and DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver. So you should have to change atleast these requirements to install windows 7 in laptop. I think this may will help you. If you have still any difficulty then you are free to ask me.
If your hardware specification are like this then you can not install windows 7 on your laptop.
