Re: Ubuntu 8.04 freezes after reinstall
I think this is a problem with kernel 2.26, did you try to install the updated kernel that is 2.27? I don't know for sure but many have got their problem solved after installing Kernel 2.27. I hope this works for you too. What was the problem that made you reinstall ubuntu? Do post back... :thumbup1: :thumbup1:
Re: Ubuntu 8.04 freezes after reinstall
It was not a problem, but the laziness of organizing files. I had a lot of useless files scattered all over ubuntu's partition and i had a nice backup of all the important files. So i did a reinstall to free all the disk space i could... Well i have installing the 2.27 kernel with Synaptic Package Manager, but no luck it freezes again.. Any other way? Please help...
Re: Ubuntu 8.04 freezes after reinstall
I think you can try it this way : Try to boot into root recovery mode and then try to install the new kernel, reboot in normal mode and see if the freezing goes away... Do post back... :thumbup1:
