laptop cannot read blu-ray disc
I have a twilight blue-ray disc and it cannot read anything if I have put that on my Sony Optiarc drive. It is on my dell laptop and I have also tried to update its firmware to the latest version but still the laptop cannot read blu-ray disc on my Sony Optiarc drive? So can anyone help me or am I sole. Thank you
Re: laptop cannot read blu-ray disc
I also had the same problem and found out that you need to clean disk real good before every use. Any finger print or anything else on the surface will prevent the disk from being read. You can also try to revert back to some old firmware so that it can work again.
Re: laptop cannot read blu-ray disc
Have you tried to update your graphic driver? You can also go to cyberlink site download bd advisor, these software tell you if you laptop is capable to play blue ray disc / movies, etc or not.
Re: laptop cannot read blu-ray disc
Make sure to try several different discs. If you can read and play DVDs and CDs but not read and play BDs you might have a defective drive. Have you tried to disconnect the bluray drive internally, and then plug it back in or uninstall/reinstall drivers?
