Windows XP automatic updates can't turn off
When i had taken an internet connection at my place, my browser has turn on automatic updates, but that becomes very irritating because after 10 or 15 days it gives me an notification that updates are available and need to restart the system, and if i keep it for restart it took lot of time update the system this annoys me a lot  so i have decide to turn off the automatic updates, i search for disabling option but i did not found anything..
Re: Windows XP automatic updates can't turn off
Turning of the automatic updates will not keep your system updated, which is not recommended, I will also suggest you to keep it on, otherwise if you still want to disable it i will give you some hint, Have you tried: Start/Control Panel/Security Center/Turn Off Automatic Updates.
Re: Windows XP automatic updates can't turn off
To turn off the automatic updates you need to go to the security updates at the control panel, there at the front page of the security center, click on "Change the way Security system alerts me" under Resources. If you see Resources but nothing else, click on the down arrow to the right of the word.
Uncheck them all, that should turn the alerts off. If it doesn't, realize I'm just a guy coming here for help and am not at all qualified to give advice about repairing your system.
