i want to know about ram timings. i have samsung ddr333 which i am looking for timings for overclocking as my friend suggested me but dont know how to do it so please help me to do it better way also dose wrong settings while RAM timings cause RAM to fail Memtest? please reply

Timings are numbers like 2-3-2-6-T1, 3-4-4-8 or 2-2-2-5, the lower the better.The first number, indicates the maximum clock speed that the memory chips support.The second number indicates the maximum transfer rate that the memory reaches, in MB/s.If you’re really concerned that loose timings will result in drastic performance decrease then you should bench before and after.
DDR2 has a function different from the classic DDR. Where DDR first name returns 2 bits at each cycle, the 4 refers to DDR2.Another point of DDR2: latency times very high. he timings are commonly encountered CAS, RAS to CAS Delay Time RAS precharge and RAS Active Time:
- CAS (Column Access Strobe) is the minimum time required to access a column of a bench.
- RAS to CAS Delay (Row Access Strobe to CAS) is the minimum time between an access line to that of a column.
- RAS precharge Time is the minimum time between two signals RAS
- RAS Active Time is the time required to access a line to a bench.
