Access data transfer to Sharepoint gives Invalid Internet Address
I am trying to transfer data from Access database to Sharepoint List. Everything initially went properly. But at last I got an error saying Invalid internet address. I am unable to rectify the actual cause of this problem. Can you help me in getting the same?
Re: Access data transfer to Sharepoint gives Invalid Internet Address
Basically, the sharepoint list doesn't like some of the hyperlinks format may be due to unknown characters used. Try to remove such hyperlinks from the query, then it should work as normal. However if you still continue with your then sharepoint will simply mess your data. Basically Sharepoint might have some inbuilt rules to support certain characters.
Re: Access data transfer to Sharepoint gives Invalid Internet Address
Microsoft has confirmed that this problem occurs because Access 2000, Access 2002, Access 2003 or Access 2007 do not support importing or linking data from a remote FTP or HTTP server.
To solve this problem save the file or HTML page to your hard disk or Intranet site, and then import or link the file from there.
Re: Access data transfer to Sharepoint gives Invalid Internet Address
Is what the error specifying correct, the location of document is correct? Can you open database on the server? Is it blocked somewhere, may be from firewall or router? First try to see the connectivity with the server using tracert command. If it is proper then see what is block and release which is the culprit.
