I recently purchased a used Samsung BD-P1500. I found out that its firmware version was outdated so I went to upgrade its firmware version through my internet connection but now 3-4 hours has been passed and it is still upgrading or even you can say that frozen on 4 steps "Updating firmware". Now I am really scared to disconnect it cause it might make the phone die. I dont know what other steps to take, so I come here seeking for a solution for this bizarre problem. Thank you

All firmware updates mus be done with a CD or DVD only. The site downloads an ISO file to your harddrive. You must burn this ISO file to a CD or DVD. Insert the CD or DVD in the player and it will auto load.

Samsung has released a firmware update that "turns on the internet magic of your Blu-ray Discs when you load them in a BD-P1500". It's listed as BD-P1500 Firmware Update (ver. 2.0) and its unclear whether this is the update to Profile 2 because there's not much info to read.
