Genie Timeline is best option as a alternative of Time Machine, you can download the beta version for free, and yu can test demo also.

You will find many same programs for sure, but with similar GUI no, you won't find with similar GUI. If you love it, go and buy a MAC. As for windows Norton GoBack is best and norton also provides the good online System Restore.
And BTW vista has the shadow copy instead of that, and its very very useful utility.

There is the utility available name is1 SyncBackSE and its fully free functioning trial available to see if it does what you would like.
And actually Time Machine is set to back up to an external drive so best option would be Seagate Replica for windows PC's : http://www.seagate.com/replica/

Before considering Norton GoBack, you might want to Google Norton GoBack Problems. You'll find several nightmare stories there.

I tried genie timeline and it's good... provided me with real-time backup for all my files... and it works smoothly with my new windows 7... looks like i found a winner :thumbup1:
