What you need do is, simply right click at the empty area of dick and select the option Add Items, and Blank Icon' from the menu , it will create a new shortcut there. And now Right-click the icon of which you want to change the icon and select 'Icon settings', now you should be able to select the icon you want to use.

I installed Rocketdock on my computer. Accedently it got closed and now i can't open it again. How can i reopen it. Please help.
Have you checked for Rocketdock menu option? If its not works then try re-installation.
