Problem with Belkin USB Hubs in Windows Vista Ultimate
I'm running Windows Vista ultimate as my operating system. I'm using a Belkin USB HUB (F5L009), with my printer having an external HD attached to it. I had installed Belkin software on my system. Now the problem is that i'm unable to connect my belkin usb hub. Whenever i try to connect, it just flashes on the screen, saying its connecting then it goes away. Can any body tell me that why i'm unable to connect my belkin usb hub on Windows Vista ultimate? Does any body knows about it? Kindly provide me the correct solution to get rid of the above issue.

Try to bypass your hub and can your connect both peripherals directly to your machine's USB port and access them? It will let you know that if it's having a HUB issue and not a peripheral driver issue. Also try to make sure that the hub is plugged in, if it is powered by an AC adapter.

I think it might be the power settings problem on your USB ports. For that click on the Start menu and select Run and then type devmgmt.msc in it. Then under USB drivers, try to open each and every USB Root Hub, then click on Power Management tab and then try to uncheck "Allow computer to power off" on your pc.
