Easy Transfer 'migration failed' on Windows Vista
I'm trying to copy some files and settings from my old pc which is running Windows Xp on it, to the new one which has Windows Vista installed on it. While copying the files form old pc to new one, it gives out an error message stating "The migration fialed and there is not enough space on your disk". This error message is shown on my new pc, which is running Windows Vista on it. There is only 100GB space left on my old pc, so can this be the problem? Can any body help me out to get rid of the above issue? Would appreciate if any body helps me out to resolve the above issue.
Re: Easy Transfer 'migration failed' on Windows Vista
I think you should try to delete the files that display access denied messages on your system and then try to re-run migration on your pc.
Re: Easy Transfer 'migration failed' on Windows Vista
If you have other USB ports, then try to insert an external hard drive to other ports in order to test the result on your system. If you have any anti-virus programs installed on your pc, then try to disable it, in order to test the result on your pc.
Re: Easy Transfer 'migration failed' on Windows Vista
You can use Windows Easy Transfer software on your system. It is an application designed to help people move their important files, user accounts, and application settings from their old PC to a new PC. So, it will be the best option in order to transfer or copy files and settings from your old pc to the new one.
