I am running windows vista on my desktop. I have many picture in my computer. When i open any picture, it opens with windows photo gallery. I want to uninstall it. How can i do that?

Windows photo gallery is photo management, tagging, and editing tool. The direct path to the program is %ProgramFiles%\Windows Photo Gallery\WindowsPhotoGallery. There can be two titles for photo gallery namely windows photo gallery and windows live photo galley. There is a windows update to uninstall windows photo galley.
You can go through the thread on turn off/Disable Windows Photo Gallery.

You can change the default program for opening the picture or image as you want. Windows photo gallery is part of windows vista like internet explorer. So you cannot uninstall it.
Windows photo gallery decided to save changes to one of my pictures, I pulled the plug, but too late. That's what brought me to this forum. Windows photo gallery dies tonight. Followed by Vista next weekend. If cars were put on the market like this, people would die and lawsuits would be filed.
