Windows 7 RC and Windows 2000 Server

I am trying to get Windows 7 RC to connect to a Windows 2000 SBS
All other releases connected fine.
This one refuses my name password?

Funny thing it can telnet no problem?
The machines are on the same lan and every other machine can connect with the Win 7 machine just not the win 7 and the SBS 2000?

I had no problem before the RC release?

Any suggestions?

Downloads such as the WAIK or Windows XP Mode are accompanying Windows 7 RC and Windows Server 2008 R2 RC, but Microsoft has even more. The Redmond company is also offering the Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC). The solution is designed to bridge Windows 7 clients with server operating systems including Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2003. Remote Server Administration Tools allow administrators to manage both features and roles on machines running the server operating systems enumerated above from a remote computer with Windows 7.

1. On a computer that is running the RC release of Windows 7 RC, download the Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7 RC package from the Microsoft Download Center.
   
2. Open the folder into which the package downloaded, and double-click the package to unpack it, and then start the Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7 RC Setup Wizard.
   
   Important: You must accept the License Terms and Limited Warranty to start to install the Administration Tools pack.
   
3. Complete all the steps that you must follow by the wizard, and then click Finish to exit the wizard when installation is completed.
   
4. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Programs.
   
5. In the Programs and Features area, click Turn Windows features on or off.
   
6. If you are prompted by User Account Control to enable the Windows Features dialog box to open, click Continue.
   
7. In the Windows Features dialog box, expand Remote Server Administration Tools.
   
8. Select the remote management tools that you want to install.
   
9. Click OK.

configure networking settings first , so that your machine would be able to properly communicate with your Domain Controller.

To make sure that your PC can ping your domain controller,so domain controller connected properly, so PC is able to communicate with the domain controller properly

To join Windows 7 to a Domain try these steps:

1. Click on Start > then right click on Computer and click on Properties
2. The basic system information page will open, click on Change Settings,under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings,
3. On the System Properties page, click on Change
4. select the radio button beside Domain Under Member, type the name of the domain you want to join and then click OK
5. A pop up box requesting to enter credentials of an account with rights to join the domain , Once the username and password are entered , click on OK

A confirmation box prompt you that will welcome you to the domain. Click OK, msg prompt you that a reboot the machine .Click on OK. Restart Now
6. Once your machine is rebooted, press CTRL + ALT + Del to log on
7. As you can see, the user that last logged on to the system was a local account user ( machine name\username ), log on with a domain user account by clicking on Switch User
8. Click on Other User
9. click on Enter key to log on by typing your domain user credentials. domain name is stated under the username and password textboxes. so you have local machine name is shown and not your domain name, then type the user name in this format : domain name\username

you can keep log on setting for machine, Right Click Computer > Properties open the basic system properties page and check your computer full name and the name of the domain of joined destination.
