keyboard not working after sleep mode
I have a keyboard that doesnt works after sleep mode. So I have to reboot my pc each time to get this keyboard working. What can be the possible fix for this. I am on a HP PC with Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and am using Windows Vista OS. Thank you for any help in advance.
Re: keyboard not working after sleep mode
The best way to avoid this problem is to not use power-saving modes that cause problems. Likely HP will update their drivers and resolve the issue at a later date. Try looking into your BIOS and check what it says about USB and ACPI (the power safing features). Let us know if playing there helps.

Re: keyboard not working after sleep mode
just a thought, but windows has a number of power saving features that can essentially shut down less important sections of the motherboard (such as usb devices and ethernet ports). could your keyboard be having trouble syncing with the software after this event? if thats the case it could be as simple as not letting windows perform this action.
you might try:
right click "computer"/"my computer" from the start menue and click properties
select device manager
expand "keyboards"
right click on the keyboard(s)
go to the power management tab
see if the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" check box is checked
