PS3 backward compatibality support
I have PS2 in my home. And I am thinking to buy PS3 in the coming month. I heard that PS3 is has new feature called backward compatible mode. This means that I can play games of PS2 also. If this is true then my game cd's will be saved. I can enjoy both old and new versions for high end graphic games. How can I determine weather the PS3 which I am buying is equipped with backward compatibility. Suggestions appreciated.
Re: PS3 backward compatibality support
I am only aware of the PS3 80GB which I think is hundred percent backward compatible will all games. But all are not. Only those play stations which is packaged in the MGS4 bundle supports. It is possible that you will get the backward compatibility version of play station but be ensure that before purchasing. Click on the link below and check out weather all your PS2 games do support PS3 80 GB
Check Game Compatibility Status.
Re: PS3 backward compatibality support
Well it was in the new that sony is going to put new PS3 in the market which comes with backward compatibility. But it only a limited version available. There some user who use that version. But now sony had stopped manufacturing the PS3 with backward compatibility. To guess weather the model you are purchasing supports backward compatibility you can figure out by seeing at the back side of the PS3. Now till I know right now it is not available because sony want it user to enjoy the latest games.
