How to create avatar in photoshop

Hi all,
We use our personalized avatars in instant messaging like yahoo messenger and all. But i want to create my own avatar using my personal image or other pictures. Anyone know how can i create avatar in photoshop?

All suggestions are welcome.

You can create avatar online from any website. This websites allows cartoon characters as your avatar. You can customize them as you want as change hair style, eyes, facial expressions, cloths, etc.

Follow these steps to make avatar using photoshop:

• Select one picture or image in JPG, GIF, TIF, PNG or any digital format supported by photoshop
• Open this image with photoshop
• Select the size for the avatar accordingly
• Choose part of image or whole image with selector
• Create a specific image with crop tool
• Also resize image with Image size
• Save your file
• Upload your avatar where you want
