Hi friends,
I am planning to buy a new digital camera, can some which one is best SLR or DSLR ?. What is the difference between them and which one is best. Is it worth to spend 1000$ on Buying DSLr or shoud i buy a SLR camera which is less than 1000$. and which company would you prefer ?

If you can spend 1000$ then it is worth to buy a DSLR, Its the latest technology. Dont go for higher megapixel camera. 3 megapixel is enough. Choose between Nikon or Canon. Get a Nikon 8800 or Canon Pro 1 which both cost around the same but which don't offer as much.
Now a days camera market is all about Digital SLR, Previously SLR cameras were the tools of professional photographers. But now Buying a DSL camera is the best deal. many companies now a days offering the DSLR's. If you have not owned an SLR camera before, Then you must go for DSLR.
It depends upon your needs, if you are not an Professional photographer then the SLR camera or even Compact SLR will also do the job. The fact is that most of Camera which comes under $300 or $500 with 5MP or 8MP can serve the purpose, by spending more you get instant review capability to check for blinks or blurs, and you get high resolution images that can easily be printed at 11x17 sizes.
