Installation
The first time Sandisk Sansa View 16GB switched on, starting a startup guide this is quickly implemented, because it simply select language. It is possible to choose from a wide range of languages.It can also change later.
The first time the device is connected to a PC using the supplied USB cable the device will automatically be installed, there is no need for additional drivers as long as you are using Windows XP or Windows Vista or higher.The player can now use as Portable Device from My Computer to transfer music, movies, pictures, etc.. so that you can just copy paste files to device as it is a normal external hard drive there is no need for any particular program. Design & functionality
Sandisk Sansa View 16GB , size is bit higher and a little thicker than ipod nano. The difference is not to large .It is made in black plastic with a glossy surface,which gives a nice touch and look. The only problem is that with fat fingers scratches easily can seen on surface.
On the device you can see few buttons, an on / off button, which simultaneously act as a hold"button, so the device can be locked when it is in the pocket or simply not in use.
In the middle is a large scroll wheel ,at the far right is another button, this is home button always brings you into the main menu.
The main menu have following options:
- Now playing
- Music
- Videos
- Photos
- More (includes access to voice recorder and FM radio)
The menu Music, which allows you the following option:
- Play All
- Added recently
- Artists
- Albums
- Melody List
- Genres
- My topclassified
- Playlists
- Popcasts
- Audiobooks
So it would be easy access to find exactly the music you want to listen with the entire 16GB of memory as there is space for around 4000 tracks, where they average age of 4 MB, so there is good reason to separate them.There are of course also an equalizer that allows you to adjust the settings for a certain type of music.
Audio
This is an MP3 player with large memory and one of the main points is the music, and the device reproduce music of very good quality. Sandisk Sansa View 16GB perform reasonable in the range. The sound is clear and detailed, even with the provided earphones. To get the optimal performance of this player you can try any good earphones.
Although the included earphones are not of the world's best quality it plays very well and can play quite loudly, without destroying the whole sound distorted. Where the supplied earphones is losing quality at high and deep bass this is not strong.
Video
The video feature is one of the good things of Sandisk Sansa View 16GB as it can play both MPEG4, VMW, and H.264 files. However, some files that are converted via Sandisk own program Sansa Media Converter which is for free download.
Simply connect the Sandisk Sansa View 16GB on USB port, open the Sansa Media Converter and select the files you want to convert for use on the device then convert the file and it is ready for playback on Sansa
The Sandisk Sansa View 16GB screen is relatively small and low resolution compared to ipod, so the video appears in almost the same quality as on the PC screen only in a much smaller size I still belong to a proper display, but amusing video clips from mobile phone, youtube or other you can easily have with the Sandisk Sansa View 16GB, and share with friends, family, etc..
