I have sony ps3. I played GTA last night and shut down the game before it closed completely. In morning when I switched it on back the green light is turning to yellow and then red. It is flashing continuously. Now it is not switching on also. There is no display on the screen. Why this happened. Anyone has same problem then what did you do to resolve it. Help...
It seems that your PS3 is over heating. I got heated in the night and because of that you got this problem. The thermal sensor inside it may have gone. Because of overheating the PS3 shutdown itself. You will need to contact your sony service center. It is possible they can provide you with a replacement with some more warranty.
Check all the connection to your Sony PS3. Including the cable to your TV and other devices. Try to replace the power cable or show it to some technician. It is possible because of some bad connection the thing is not working. I too faced the same problem. But just replacing the cable solved the issue. It was a bad cable because of which my PS3 was not working. I just changed it and things go normal.

Disconnect all your cables form the the PS3. Wait for some while and then re-connect every thing back. If it works then it just due to overheating. But if not then friend your console is dead. Now only thing can happen you will need to send your PS3 to sony for repair. They will replace the system and provide you with a new one with extended warranty. Contact your nearest center as early as possible. You can assume that it can work just by doing minimal repair.
