Hi,
I want to Update my Samsung 860, does anybody knows about firmware update for the Samsung DVD-HD870 fixes. i want to play some VCD or SVCD, DVD player does support DIVX, but to play the SVCD the only way is to unlock the region free code. and it is possible through any hack or a firmware update.
please help me
You dont need any firmware update to play SVCD or VCD. Youcan play divx/xvid just fine, Read the manual thas has come with your Samsung DVD-HD860 , there is a divx section in the gui menu system. and if you dont have the manual download it.
Hi firmware update wont help you, because firmware update helps to fix common problems such as pause, repeat, zoom, sub title etc. Its a waste of time, you can download the manual from here http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/co..._0322_book.pdf
You can use the remote Supplied with your Samsung DVD-HD860, Turn on Samsung DVD-HD860, Note : keep the disk tray empty. now turn on the tv and go to AV mode and Press the "Repeat" key on the Samsung remote control. now press the key in this order 5 7 5 3 8. Number 7 will apperar for short time on the screen. now press number 9 , now Press the "Open/close" button in the remote. let the try open for some time. turn of your player, you are done, now you can play any region dvd. :thumbup1:
