Change email address associated with hotmail account

Hi,

I know that it is possible to change the name of your Hotmail account but i would like to know weather it is possible to change the email of your Hotmail account. if yes then how.

You can change your email by following few simple steps, but it is time consuming. here's how you can do it. First open your new hotmail account account, now Log in to your old account. Click on Options, Select Forward Messages and there type new account, it wont forward Your junk mail. Send an automatic reply. now send an e-mail to senders about the change even before you respond to them. in option select Send an Automated Vacation Response. and Send the message. Please make note that your e-mail address is now changed from old to new one. its an automated response.

No it is not possible, you can change your name but it is impossible to change your email account in hotmail. your email address is how MSN Hotmail identifies you, its unique, a different email address means a different hotmail account.

It is impossible, but you can use the trick suggested by Jackson2, or you can create a new account and delete your old account. You will have to manually move all your hotmail contacts from an old to new one.
