I am using itunes & facing a problem with soundtrack or the compilation. if any of the album kept for compilation & group preferences set to compilation & after that when viewing the files it should not show the single artist album but this is not happening. Is anything i am doing wrong....????
What is ITune Compilation ?
A compilation album is an album (music or spoken-word) featuring tracks from multiple recording artists, often culled from a variety of sources (such as studio albums, live albums, singles, demos and outtakes.) The tracks are usually collected according to a common characteristic, such as popularity, source or subject matter. When the tracks are all essentially by the same recording artist, a compilation album is often referred to as a retrospective album. Compilation album may employ tradition product bundling strategies.
You can edit the tag id3 to the name you want it will only display the songs with the same artist. Or try just clicking the compilation, i always do the same for listening the song in compilation. Or directly click on the album you want to listen. The simple way to get rid of it....!
Group Compilations :
To see all songs on a compilation CD grouped together in your library, make sure you select the “Group compilations when browsing” option in iTunes Preferences (click the General button). If this checkbox is deselected, all songs from compilation CDs appear individually by artist in the Artist list (in the browser).
