Hi,
I am facing a porblem with AIX Server. i have AIX 5.3 on my ip 118.136.36.133 and a workstation 118.136.36.130, I also have one more work station IP . I am able to ping between my ip and the first work station but not with the second one. i am getting error code 581.

You get Error code 581 when it is stuck configuring tcpip, it wont be possible for you to login until it configure tcpip. it should time out eventually and finish booting. When IP does not configure correctly , The most sensible implementation is to dumb terminal or a pc running a terminal emulator connected to the serial port.
S you said that you cant ping with the second work station, I think that your second work station is on a different subnet, and The ip doesn't know how to get there. So, I think, the solution is that you need a static route created on your ip.
