How can i use multiple inboxes in Gmail
I'm having a Gmail account for accessing my emails over the internet. I would like to use the multiple inboxes facility which Gmail had recently started for their account user. Can any body tell me that how can i use that multiple inboxes facility in Gmail? Has anybody used that multiple inboxes facility in Gmail? Kindly suggest me your views on the above issue. Any kind of information on the above issue would be appreciated.
Re: How can i use multiple inboxes in Gmail
You need to follow the following settings in order to use multiple inboxes on your Gmail account.
1. Try to turn on Multiple Inboxes from the Labs tab under Settings.
2. Then set up a filter to auto-archive all mail sent to your work or school address.
3. Then try to customize one of your multiple inboxes to show mail sent to your other address. To do this, go to the Multiple Inboxes tab under Settings and set up one of the panes to search for mail sent to your other address.
4. Then use (Optional) a "custom from" address so that replies will be sent from Gmail but as if they're from your other account. This way, your coworkers or classmates won't know the difference.
That's it and your job is done.
Re: How can i use multiple inboxes in Gmail
The new feature, called Multiple Inboxes, can be activated on Gmail’s Labs page. After you log in to Gmail, click on Settings, go to the "Labs" tab and check the Multiple Inboxes box. To make changes to the default view, go into Settings and click on the "Multiple Inboxes" tab, which should now show up. It’s important to note this feature doesn’t let you view multiple Gmail accounts or multiple inboxes on one web page. Instead, it shows you multiple views of your inbox on one page. So, you can have one pane show all incoming messages, one pane for starred messages, one pane for messages with a particular label, one for drafts, and so on.
The default view puts two panes (starred and drafts) to the right of your mailbox. This minimizes the amount of scrolling needed to see everything, but it also does away with the checkboxes in the smaller panes, meaning you have to leave your split-screen view if you want to archive, delete or bulk process any of the messages in the filtered panes.
In the Multiple Inboxes settings, you can change the configuration so that your filtered panes appear above or below your master inbox. You get the checkboxes back, and your subject lines aren’t truncated as sharply, so you can see more information about each message.

Re: How can i use multiple inboxes in Gmail
Just follow the below steps mention.
1) Enable Multiple Inboxes in your labs.
2) Then try to log in to the additional account you want to view from your primary Gmail account and open up the settings menu.
3) Then Go into Forwarding and POP/IMAP and set forwarding to on, and have it send a copy to your primary Gmail address.
4) Then Go back into the settings menu of your primary Gmail account and open the Multiple Inboxes menu. In each of the panes simply type in "to:" followed by the e-mail address of one of the forwarding accounts.
5) At this point your multiple in-boxes are up and running, but you're still going to get these messages in your primary in-box too. To keep this from happening we're going to create a filter. Head back to settings in your master account, then click on filters. Create a new one. In the "to" field enter the e-mail address you're forwarding from, click next, then pick the "skip the in-box" option.
