How to get best graphics card for oblivion ( pc )

Well, I have got my new PC (it's in bits, need to build it), and cannot wait to play super-modded Oblivion (using 4096x4096 textures) along with Crysis in Ultra level!

I have got a AMD Phenom II 940 Black Edition. 4GB Dominator 1066MHz RAM. 2x500GB disks. And, get this, a Nvidia GTX295!

I am also getting a Samsung 24 "2ms Full HD Monitor as well!!!!

Comparing Crysis in high-res (I believe using Ultra detail) on a 4870x2 and a GTX295. The 4870x2 managed between 25-30fps (no slouch), but the gtx 295 managed, get this .... 55-60fps!!!!

Could you tell me which is the best graphics card for oblivion.

That is more than thick, a 8600 + with at least 2gb, the least in the Recommended believe me, even if it is speculation.

But keep an eye on the latest budget cards and at least one notch ram would do wonders for you, I hope

I think you should go with a geforce 8600, no need to upgrade the CPU, which is usually less relevant. The 7600GT can indeed sometimes be difficult for it to play.

You can play at 1920x1200, hopefully with max settings (E8400 with 2 8800GTS in SLI)
