When I turn ON the system, my gateway desktop GT5012 is not booting. It simply makes three long beeps and then stops. So, I turn off the power and started once again, the same problem repeats.
What does this beeping mean ? Can anybody explain me about this problem ?

Look at the table below to know what kind of error you are facing depending upon the number of beeps.....

- Disconnect all the power connections
- Disconnect all the accessories like keyboard, mouse, etc
- Disconnect all cd-roms, only leave hard disks to be connected
- Check whether your RAM is connected properly. Instead, remove and reinstall memory stick (make sure that they fit all the way in and are secured by the brackets on each side)
- Restart your computer
- Probably, you will hear error beeps since nothing has been connected back.
- If booting sequence starts normally: then your problem is solved....
- If booting doesn't start, then replace memory sticks
