Computer cannot recognize sansa clip

Hi all,
I have sansa clip 4gb. When i plug in to my computer it wont recognize the device. I have tried different usb ports but without success. I am using windows XP on my desktop. Anyone have any idea?

All suggestions are welcome.

Try following:

• Turn device OFF
• Slide the Hold switch down to Lock
• Press and hold the center button while connecting the device to the PC

Also try to change the Device mode to MSC. You will find the options in the settings.

For Sansa Clip, XP sp2, if it does not show up in my computer as a device, disconnect from pc, go into sansa menu to USB then press center. Set it to MDM. Scroll to MSC, press button. Reconnect it to computer.

Update windows media player to latest version. Also check device manager, if it is showing the device or not. It may be a power supply problem. You can try self powered usb hub.
