I have heard that Denon 1909 has the capability of upscaling normal SD images from Sky+ or Sky HD boxes. Is this true ? Because, I was wondering to buy Denon 1909. Does anybody knows how effective this upscaling is ? any ideas......please give some necessary suggestions......thanks
The upscaling feature of Denon 1909 is well, not bad. But however, your panel will do the upscaling anyway. So don't worry.....
Denon 1909 has the ability to upconvert analog signals to 1080p over HDMI output; automatic speaker calibration; decent video quality on upconverted video signals.
Although, Denon AVR-1909 sounds great and is fully featured, but isn't the easiest receiver to setup and use.
When I got Denon AVR 1909, I connected it to my Wharfedale Diamond 9.6 and performed the remaining 7.1 setup. The setup took around 45 mins. I observed that the look of the device is good and the sound is effective as well.....
I am not sure about the upscaling feature of Denon 1909...didn't tried anytime. I'll go through the manual for this feature and let you know......
