PS3 slim 120GB and 160GB leaked
This thread over at NeoGAF is where I first heard about this,The shots showing a much despite its dimensions, thinner design , nonetheless manages to fit two USB reports and, significantly a 120GB hard drive and a 180GB hard drive. The logo has changed from PLAYSTATION 3 to the shorter PS3 branding.
There was no official date on when this new system would reach store shelves. This information appeared to follow up with that of a recent Ars Technica piece, where a reporter claimed a 120GB system with a Dual Shock 3 controller would be replacing the 80GB PS3.
Quote:
1. Convincing, professional chassis mold
2. Logo changed from PLAYSTATION 3 to PS3 which is logical, not proof for/against though
3. Packaging image is not shopped (though the pack itself might be custom made)
4. IBM have had the 45nm Cell in production (since mid 2008 I believe?), we all know the story about the general downsizing of PS3 components and lower power needs
5. Pink/green work stations! (same as background)
6. Sony shipped 10m PS3's in fiscal year 07 and 08 each, they arenowsaying 13m for 09.
Re: PS3 slim 120GB and 160GB leaked
Obviously, everyone will wonder if it could be the next PS3 model or if you simply zieute the work of an amateur fakes. If Sony has not yet addressed the issue or merely to deny thinking, however, it seems logical that the Japanese manufacturer is working at one time or another to develop a model of its console Slim salon, as the PSOne and PS2.
Re: PS3 slim 120GB and 160GB leaked
Everyone wants to deduct it from these pictures after he noticed the new look of the logo (which would be a first in the history of Sony consoles) or different brands (Sony, Playstation 3, Blu-ray Disc, Playstation Network ...) which appear on the box. Fake, counterfeit, scoop? It only remains for us to wait for Sony to react (or not), which in itself could be the first clue
