How to Delete a multiboot ?
While having installed Linux on a partition on the disk of your PC, you have kept the Windows XP partition. If you delete only use Linux for Windows XP, you see that message, now useless, you always choose an operating system at startup. Indeed, the deletion of the Linux partition does not remove the software to boot, on a special area of the disk area called boot. But when you turn your PC on, it's the software that starts in first: it scans the boot sector of your hard drive and lists all operating systems that are installed. You are then asked to choose one of them.
Re: How to Delete a multiboot ?
To return to the situation prior to the installation of Linux, start your computer with the CD-ROM Windows XP in the drive. Press R to start the repair. Type the number of the Windows XP installation to repair (usually there is only one installation detected, it is number 1), then open a special window called Console repair. In cete window, type the commands one by one and you finish by pressing the Enter key.
Enter fixboot C: (C: means the hard drive where Windows XP is installed, set to another if needed). This command registers a new boot sector on your hard disk system.
This done, type exit to exit the console repair and restart your computer. The issue will be raised.
