Hello,
I Have quickly scanned the pages of this forum and I cannot find the similar problem,
My problem is very simple: my windows Xp Start menu is very large, The craziest is that I have the same problem with the ms office, certainly I Have not Done any manipulation that tend to create this problem ... Anyway, my start menu almost filled the entire height of my screen, and it look really unpleasant. If Someone Has the Solution and please Send me Back ?

Have You Tried This On the Start menu: Select Control Panel , In Control Panel: Be sure you are in Classic View (all Control Panel icons are showing). If not, under Control Panel in the left pane, select Switch to Classic View. Select Taskbar and Start Menu.In the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box: Select the Start Menu tab , On the Start Menu tab: Select Start Menu. Select the Customize button. and Finally In the Customize Start Menu dialog box, on the General tab: Under Select an icon size for programs, choose: Large icons, and Save Setting close all the Windows ,
hello , did you tried the display settings to see if they are good? what resolution did you have :
- Right click on the desktop
- properties
- Display Settings
and also use this
- Right-click the taskbar Properties.
- Customize Start Menu
- At the bottom unchecks Use large icons.
- Click Apply and OK

you should decrease number of programs on start. Right click taskbar > Properties > Start menu tab > Customize and change number of programs on taskbar to 6. If they are already 6 then change your resolution.
