hi,
I have no sound on my SoundMAX, I deleted my Soundmax driver in my add/Remove programs.and when i try to reinstall new driver it says "Bad Directsound driver". I don't know what audio driver I need to get my sound back on.Any help will be extremely appreciated.
Go to Control Panel click on Sounds & Audio Devices icon or MultiMedia Icon.then click on Audio tab,in 'Sound playback' make sure the 'Default device:' drop-down box correctly reflects your soundcard.
When you Right click on the items under Sound devices in device manager, You will find the uninstall or delete option. it will ask to reboot before all the device drivers are uninstalled or deleted. after deleting driver you have to reboot your system.
after rebooting system it should recognize new hardware and try to install drivers for the sound card.
