Windows 7 partition problem trick
Hey Guys!
I had Windows XP on my computer and was really happy with it! I wanted to try Windows 7 so i did a dual boot... Now the problem was that i could not see Windows XP partition from XP. So i found a workaround for it :
Format the Windows 7 partitions from XP and install Windows 7 from Windows XP. Now the next time you start your computer in Windows 7 your windows XP partition will be shown! All the best!
Re: Windows 7 partition problem trick
Hey!
The trick you gave will kill so much time! Well the best option is to start the Installation from Windows XP and not while booting from the Windows 7 DVD. This will save a lot of time. Also this problem doesn't occur with all the computers! So its better to take precautions rather then wasting time! What say? All the best..! But thanks anyways a try is worth! :thumbup1: :thumbup1:
Re: Windows 7 partition problem trick
Hey!
The best option i would suggest would be as follows:
Go to device manager from Windows 7 and select the Windows XP partition it will be there without any drive letter. Just add the drive letter and it would auto play and present you with a popup! Choose whatever option you want while installing Windows 7, doesn't matter! Forgetting is natural and if this problem occurs why to waste time when theres an easy way out!? All the best!
