What is the recommended temperatures on CPU
I just want to ask if there is any specific limit. I mean how much it is liable to have max temperatures under load on the CPU
I currently have Intel E8400 overclocked up to 4 GHz. I tried OCCT and seen that the temperature has risen up to 77 degrees under 100% load. Is that ok? Can I have a maximum limit?
My use, I do not use my PC much (1.e. 24/7), just a few hours of play daily.
Re: What is the recommended temperatures on CPU
Isn't 77 degrees much enough for you? In my case, I was having 30 degrees, I overclocked upto 50 degrees and but have to reset it to default because it was too hot.
However you should be be able to get a better result may be with a bigger fan, or by water cooling your system.
It is always recommended that whenever you overclock, you need to take account of temperatures and have a bigger fan etc.
Re: What is the recommended temperatures on CPU
77 degrees is not the danger limit but you can go a little high. Theoretically, if you have tried to run the CPU without any cooling, or not with bigger fans then you should be able to passed 90 degrees without any worry.
Re: What is the recommended temperatures on CPU
According to Intel's recommendation, maximum temperature that can be achieved by E8400 is 72.4 degrees. BIOS should display the correct temperatures if any less accurate. What is the Vcore?
