I am using 64 bit vista. I installed a high end 3D animation software recently. Whenever i run the software i am getting error message D3dx9_36.dll Not Found. I tried to run the software many time after restarting the system, but i am getting the same error message. I believe the software is having issue with this kind of error message.
First do one thing. Uninstall your software. After that install it again. Check updates for your software on the internet. Update it. If you don't receive the message after this, it was your software which was causing the issue. And if after sometime the same problem arises, update your latest direct x9 version. click on the link below

First uninstall any software or game which you had installed. Because may due to that you are receiving the error message.
Now Restore the d3dx9_36.dll from the DirectX 9 software package.
After running the setup for direct x9 install your game or software again. Restart your computer and your newly installed game or animation software. This must resolve your issue.
Direct X9 is related with graphic feature of windows. It is issue for lot of graphic games and animation software's. If you don't have a latest version of Direct X9 you will the error messages like d3dx9_36.dll not found, File d3dx9_36.dll not found, etc.
Only you have update it from the microsoft site and reinstall the application again.
To avoid such issues update your windows regularly.
