10061 mysql error vista

Hello,

I am having very strange error while installing MySQL on my vista compatible PC,I have followed all the instruction given in the How to Manual but nothing happens, system just gives an error message suggesting that "10061 mysql error ", I have already wasted enough time in making R&D on that issue, and here i am asking for help, so please help me if anybody come across this kind of issues.

I will provide you 5 easy steps that you have to follow before starting installation.

1. If you want to install MySQL after uninstallation of previous version, then you need to delete your current MySQL fully and properly. Once you have uninstall you could manually delete the installation folder available at c:\Program Files\MySQL or at any location your MySQL is installed.
   
2. Turn off UAC(the nasty part of Windows Vista)
   
3. Turn off Windows Firewall.
   
4. Restart your PC.
   
5. Now you have removed all the files from MySQL, Try now with you new installation. This time the installation should be smooth and easy and it won't give any error message.

I followed the very general rule that Disabled Windows Firewall, Disabled anti virus Norton’s and lots of other things,:bleh: and to disable the norton, I went to 'Internet Security'-> 'Setting'-> 'Personal Firewall'-> 'Configure' and changed the default setting under 'Firewall Processing' from 'Automatically decide what to do (recommended)' to 'Ask me what to do' I also remove data directory and configuration file for setup for MySQL which is running and accessible.

Now the MySQL service is running and accessible.
