Overclock E8500 with MSI Neo2

Hello,

I am new to overclock, I heard that you can easily overclock E8500 to 3.8 Ghz. but my pc cant run to 3.8ghz. I need opinion on my following configuration.

MSI P45 NEO2
4 gb(2x2GB0 OCZ dual channel PC6400 Reaper EB
E8500 with Artic Cooling

Currently my processor runs 3.3GHz. ther is no problem regarding temperature, processor runs around 40 degrees. I have chosen MSI because it has also has a standard Overclock tool Which works well.

Will this combination help me in running my E8500 to 3.8 ghz ?

You can easily reach 3.8 GHz by doing some basic change in settings. locked PCI-E and PCI bus so that because if you dont do that it will go faster in relationship with the FSB and you will get regular crashes. you need to increase certainly a number of voltage to get 3.8 GHz.

If your PCI bus is already locked in these posts. set security at 100 MHz. your memory is rated at good speed. Try 1:1 and you would you be able to 400 FSB 800 MHz gives you = PC6400 RAM. Slightly increase in voltage of E8500 will do the trick. :thumbup1:

if you are going Above 380fsb, it wont work well with stock voltage. at 380fsb with 1.24Vcore picked it all good, only there just does not work. you can do 400fsb even with 1.35vcore and run my ram to 1:1. :thumbup1:
