I have bought a new Logitech Quickam Pro 9000 webcam. Now the problem is that this webcam's camera and microphone is working fine only in skype but none other software. With it came the QuickCam v11.8.0 software that isnt installing properly on my system. I would always get this error message saying that "Quickcam.exe has stopped working" when ever i try to install the camera. Has anyone able to install this software properly in Vista?
Have you tried to install the Logitech QuickCam 9000 in UVC Mode, if not then follow the below suggestions.
- First of all remove or uninstall all the traces of QuickCam software from your computer.
- After that restart your computer.
- After windows boots up, plug in the camera.
- Here, windows usually searches for the latest drivers for this device but since you are on Vista, you should not allow the pc to use Windows Update to search for drivers.
- After that you can test the camera by using any outside software like CAMWorks or any other camera-aware tools.
